Default Time to learn to fish all over again

Well my learning curve is getting pretty steep here.
A foggy morning and the fish were biting until the fog burned off.
A cold front comes in and everything, even minnows stop jumping and nothing bites.
Haven't actually fished a truly heavy overcast day but I'm hoping that it keeps the morning bite going until it gets too light.
Waiting for another rainy day to try that out too.

Lots to learn and I'm betting that what I learn in November won't mean it works the same in March or June. Fishing is a lot different in Texas than Western Washington but learning new thing and challenging the mind keeps us young.

Now if I could do something about the looks I'd pass as 35 again. Lol

Fishing for crappie seems there is always something to learn. And what you learn today doesn't mean it works tomorrow.

That’s the challenge we all have and what keeps us coming back. All fun and a great pastime.

hit purtis creek state park .....on the bottom between the timber and the dam .....
they will eat a cigarette out there once the water cools down a bit more .....just saying
and be well prepared , that lake has several species of large predator types in it ....heavy tackle might be a thing when you jig on the bottom in that lake come winter

I haven't been in Texas since 2011, but on overcast days, gold with a chartreuse tail worked pretty good. Also when incorporating a bobber, a clear one worked best, but that was on Stillhouse Hollow up near Killeen and Ft Hood.
