    Default Help with nightstalks

I watched a catfishing video awhile back that gave me the idea to paint some rods with fluorescent paint for better visibility. When you put them under black light, they glow like a light saber. This will definitely help me seeing the bites at night. I bought a set of small rechargeable Blacklights online that will make it easy to manage. I have a pic of the first ones I tried. The bright color even helps during the day!
    Thoughts?

They sell those fluorescent rods now for that very reason. They look good. Think they would do that with crappie rods too.

Last time I nightstalked I had my blacklights on ... not only to see my fluorescent line, but the floats out at the perimeter of the submerged lights. Couple of my rods do have fluorescent tips ... two of them only have about 2" of the tip painted, but my 10' Huckabee Dipping rod has 18" of the tip painted.

I used model car paint (Testors brand from Hobby Lobby) in the Fluorescent Yellow. Why buy additional rods just to night fish with? Just paint the ones you're already using. It was really easy!

Also, I just realized there's a Crappie.com decal on my truck in the background..... Thanks Slab! I believe that's one you sent me with my Calendar order a few years ago.
