    Default Lonely number

We grandson and I hit Stockton this am. Thought we were going to have a good day first drop with bouncer and rig tipped with crawler got hit within a minute. Right specie walleye but too short 13-1/2. Grandson getting bit but not hooking up then I got bit and this 16-1/2 came to net. Continued on getting a few taps but no hook ups. Then grandson gets into fish good fight all the way to boat but catfish. Oh well it was fun throw back into lake continue on grandson has something on half way back to boat comes off he did not like that. Tried couple other spots I got a smallmouth sent it back to lake. Still good to have gotten out we are having fun and he is learning how to operate boat. This one would have gotten a reprieve but we are frying fish tonite and it will be just fine in grease. Have not fished this many days in a row for a long time.Name: thumbnail_IMG_1859.jpg

I have lived a long fruitful life and with the help of our Lord have accomplished a few things worth noting but none have brought as much joy and sense of pride as has teaching my grandson how to catch fish. I know now that he will continue to fish when I have passed. As my oldest grandchild at 15 I smile as he patiently tries to teach his younger, all girl, cousins fishing techniques like hooking a worm on a hook.
My kids liked to go fishing but none LOVED IT like Austin. It was obvious he did just want to fish. He HAD TO FISH!!
Some of yall will relate to what I just said. If you know you know!!
    Bon Temps!!
