    Post Headwaters deep water

Went to Headwaters for the first time, and for the life of me couldn't find anything deeper than about 4ft outside the canal. There was probably 30+ trailers at the ramp so clearly people were out there....but I never saw a single boat fishing. Anyone have any directions on which way to go?

There are several tackle shops in Fellsmere that sell maps of the lake, my advice would be to get one.
The lake is much larger than you might think, which might explain why you didnt see anybody fishing.

Headwaters is the old Stick Marsh/Farm 13 of the 1990's early 2000's before the hurricanes shredded all the weedbeds. I always wanted to fish it but my Florida fishing buddies either died or moved out of state before we could fish it.

That is incorrect, Stick marsh/Farm 13 are completely separate from Headwaters.
You can not navigate from one to the other as you can with Stickmarsh/Farm 13.
Their launch ramps and parking areas are about 1 mile apart.

I'm well aware. Let me rephrase.

Headwaters today is like the old Stick Marsh/Farm 13 of the 1990's early 2000's before the hurricanes shredded all the weedbeds. I believe that was in 2004. In the old days one could not cross Stick Marsh/ Farm 13 due to the heavy weed growth. One had to stay in the canals or old roadbeds of the farm to cross the lake.

Follow the canal back to the zigzag pavilion on the SW far end. Take the canal (heading south) back to square lake and you will find deep water. Check out Google Earth for details of that area.

Quit regurgitating this false narrative that Stick Marsh was shredded by the hurricanes, the loss of vegetation had nothing to do with the hurricanes and 100% of the FWC nuking and overspraying the lake into a stinking cesspool, this narrative was propaganda put out by them to run cover for the corrupt, greedy, and criminal management who destroyed this lake and all of our other once great fisheries in our state.
