    Default Settled in

I’ve gotten out a few times last week and while I’ve gotten a few nice smallies and a couple of good eating size catfish. Majority of gills have been small to tiny but some over five inches have given an impressive fight. A couple close to 8” have come to play and they’re all still there. The long eared sunfish I’ve caught get the pretty boy awards. Didn’t have them where I was. If I was gathering for a meal it would be meager so far. Still fun and remembering and learning fast. Here’s a few pics…..

You're getting there, getting the boat wet and finding some variety. Only going to get better even with the summer heat. I get out early and finish by 10am.

Thanks guys. We all know it’s a numbers game and that surprise fish will be along in a while. I’m wondering how a good solid 3 pound smallie is gonna be. It’s hard for me to do anything with a 12”. I had a nice one about two and a half pounder get friendly with one of my gills but it was too big for him. Great show to watch though.
