Default Baked Fig Bread with Cream Cheese, Fig Slices, and Raw Sugar Crystals

Well we had to do it. I had 2 Condaria figs that were palm sized and another loaf of that fig bread in the fridge waiting to be cut.

Starting out with Fig Bread slices I added some whipped cream cheese then fig slices.

After sprinkling on the sugar into the oven they went @ 375 degrees. I refill the sugar container from a bag, it's not as old as the container. The container fits in our "Baking Cabinet" much easier than the bags.

After baking for 9 minutes I turned the broiler on for 1 more minute caramelizing the sugar. Now the bottom of the slices are toasted, the cream cheese bubbling and just starting to brown and the sugar caramelized.

Oh we were both super hungry by the time these came out so they didn't last long.

Now a long wait for more figs, I only had 2. When I do this again I plan on cooking some thin sliced bacon till crumbly to top everything with.

In you dreams, I replied in the other thread. You would have tore the stuff up. Cinnamon scent was in the house for 2 days after baking. I use very good cinnamon.
