Thread: Quick hour trip

When a bass grabs a gill I open my bail and give them a minute or two to swallow it before attempting to hook it. Sometimes they swim out to deeper water away from structure before swallowing the gill. Two years ago I caught my only 10+lb. bass on a bluegill and a couple months later caught an 8-14 at the exact same spot on a gill that ate my little duck feather jigs.
