Hate to hear that. Sounds like it was a good rod that landed many nice catches for you. Hopefully you find a replacement every bit as good.
I've broken my second rod as an adult, probably 40 years since the first one. While fishing Monday I broke my favorite casting rod, a G Loomis SR781, 6' 6" IMX ultra-light. I had caught about a four pound drum and was getting the net and the rod popped. I knew exactly what had happened. This rod is probably 25 years old and has caught a lot of crappie and one bass over 6 pounds. Since it's long been discontinued the search is on for a used one to replace it.
