Good job getting out and catching in the cold.

Today was supposed to have light winds , sunny and with about ten degrees cooler than yesterday. High of 47 .
Wind was 7-15mph and from the NW , which put it straight into my face .
I got to the Town pond a little before one and left just before two .
I was bundled up but still haven’t found the right gloves to keep my hands warm and still be able to feel the thump .
When the wind would blow , I’d stop fishing and stuff my hands into my jacket pocket until it slacked off .
I took my 5’5” UL-s Daiwa Tsukiza Beauty Ajing Rod , paired with a Shimano Soare bb500spg loaded with 2# Floroclear. My jig was a 4.6mm tungsten bead , size 10 Mustad Ultrapoint hook , two turns of olive chenille behind the bead, and a chartreuse Mini trout magnet with the top colored black with a sharpie .
I fished for an hour and caught seven yearling LM bass .
After a below freezing night , the gills get lockjaw it seems . I’m happy to green fish are eager to chase a jig .

Those fish look fine to me, but not as good as the rod. Really nice lookin. I have too many now, I have to turn my head a lot these days.

Nothing wrong with those bass this time of year. I fish for them on purpose sometimes. Any action this time of year is nice.
