    Default Fall creek catching !

With my neck/shoulder feeling better and with one of the nicest fall days ever , I had to check out a couple of creeks , even with it being a Saturday.

My first stop was the upper Line Creek above Lake McIntosh.
The parking lot was full , but I’m guessing they’re hikers out for a fall hike along the creek .
I’d forgotten about the rain we had a few days ago and the runoff from the pond was running along the path down to the creek . A couple places it the runoff crossed the path making the rocks slippery, but I was able to make it past the bad spots and before I got to the creek , I could hear it .
The water was up and the creek was running along a little fast for ideal conditions.
But I’d already made the downhill trip and fished for almost an hour with only a small bluegill and a small redbreast to show for my effort.

I hiked back up the hill and drove to the lower end of lake McIntosh to Line Creek below the dam .
I was lucky , nobody was fishing the creek , but I counted seven bright orange floats in the trees along the banks . Early decorations .
I was fishing my 4’10” Major Craft Finetail Glass UL paired with a new model KastKing SFS 1000 reel spooled with Daiwa Island Blue braid .
I started fishing with one of my go to all black 4mm Tungsten jigs and matched my catch from the upper end in the first ten minutes I was fishing .
But I still wasn’t tearing it up .
I lost my jig when a fish wrapped around an underwater snag and decided to go with an orange and chartreuse jig with a copper bead . I’m usually a fan fan of natural colored jigs .
I caught six fish on my next eight casts , and got hits on the empty casts . One had hooked up , but came unhooked.
The firetiger colored jig was the ticket .
In the thirty minutes I got to fish , I caught seventeen, redbreast , bluegill , and one crappie . I’ll be tying some more of these..

The weather was perfect , mid 60’s , sunny , with a light breeze.

    I lefted them biting .
