go to my YouTube channel and watch me tie a loop knot .....
after being raised by a sailor , my knot tying skills are ok ......
but to be sure , once I tied a loop knot ....
it was game over and game on at the same time ....
so if someone tells me something is better and even shows me how it is better .....
it is highly likely I ain't changing what "knot" to do .....

Sir CrappiePappy, do you fish double rigs vertically around structure or just open water conditions. I stay snagged enough with one jig.

I use that knot for both top and bottom jigs in my double-jig rig.
If I'm not at work or taking kids to their activities, you might find me on "The Rez" fishing. If not there, I could be in the garage working on my boat.

Generally speaking, I'm using a double jig rig when Livescope flippin to cover ... more often than not, that cover is 15-20' away, but there are times when it's more or less directly under the bow of the boat. If I can keep the jigs in sight (on screen), I can usually avoid getting hung up, but it only takes a second or two of losing sight of the jigs to get them snagged. Sometimes they pull loose, sometimes I lose one, sometimes I leave both of them in the brushpile ... but sometimes that's the price you pay to play.

I use a double uniknot to tie braid to flouro leader, a palomar if using straight braid & a loop or improved clinch when tying direct to lure with mono. All pretty easy & hassle free for me.

one thing for certain a loop might not be the right knot for braid , it sometimes breaks right at the knot with braid ....
since I loathe braid and rarely employ it , not totally sure what the best knot is there ....
but for sure on mono ,,,,,the whatever you call it double surgeon loop knot is in for the win
