The day started out pretty nice. Cool in the morning with a slight northern breeze and clear skies. Brother and I headed out east this time to fish.
Fished camp branch side of the lake. Best areas were at the mouth of coves in trees no deeper than 15 ft deep, crappie 10 ft down.
Didn't catch much on the main lake. Did better when we came back down and hit the brush piles on the camp banch side. We ended up with eight with my brother catching almost twice as much as me. Left early when the wind really started to kick up.
I was fishing with black and chartreuse tube jig and Bobby Garland Mini Chad with a chartreuse 8 oz head. Brother was fishing with black and chartreuse Strike King shadpole and an 8 oz chartreuse head. Fish liked the strike kings better than my baits.
Didn't catch any of those tree stump tunas that Bill posted about in my previous report.
