Yesterday the wind was only 10-15 mph but it varied in direction and under a cloudless sunny sky. But the lake is surrounded by high hills and trees so there's some wind protection depending on which shoreline you're fishing.
1/16 oz jig riggged plastics and braid did fine casting under overhanging tree branches and working water 7' or more. Problem was that the fish wouldn't bite that size jig attached to my usual plastics in 3 FOW - which was the location pattern depth in scattered weed clumps on wide shoreline flats. So I had to downsize both going to a 1/32 oz jig and very small soft plastic - sometimes only the body of a curl tail grub. These shots were taken yesterday:
