I grew up eating bass, lot’s of them. Not so much anymore, except for an occasional bleeder.
This one got a pass. Caught on a 14ft BnM and 1/16th oz jig.

I haven't kept a bass since 1994 but have no problem with someone keeping a few 2-3lbers for a meal. I feel sorry for the little bass that eat my jig with a 2/0 hook and get hooked around or in the eye. Removing some can be good for the crappie giving them more potential food so they grow faster.

If I have folks that want them I will bring them in and filet them right along with the crappie. A pull is a pull and a lip piercing is a lip piercing. Especially this time of year when the bass are hitting most anything that hits the water and the crappie are just sitting around waiting on whatever it is they are waiting on. Y’all get that figured out please post it.
I just like to fish and feel the pull when things are slow. Heck I can get excited about a gar or drum this time of year.
