Default Do You feel sorry ....?

In a world of less compassion for absolutely everything, darn near every day .....
Do you feel sorry ....for them bass mixed in with them crappie in the ice chest ?
Or might you feel sorry for the folks I gave them to ?
No worries here , we are bass compassion free , marked safe if you will from feeling sorry for a bass that bites a crappie jig when the crappie bite is a bit slow and the folks want fish to eat ....
So in a world of less compassion , I want to make it clear ,we are in that line if a bass gets on our line in this situation ....
I would not eat them myself most of the time , but other folks that like fish , are often happy to see them in the ice chest ....

Good post. Personally, I prefer to eat crappie, but a sauger or gill/shellcracker big enough to fillet is perfectly welcome to supper.

But if the fish aren’t cooperative and I’m scraping for a certain minimum number to make a meal, yeah smaller bass are gonna hit the ice too Do You feel sorry ....?

I’m another that prefer crappie but I would eat bass if needed. Been a long time since I’ve had bass though.

myself included , but one white bass a few years ago slipped into our fish bake and the wife made it VERY clear to not bring any more of them to them fish to our house
there was a time though WAY back when that I ate a few black bass , fed a small army one evening at a fish fry with 2 BIG 5 plus bass I jerked out of the water that morning , twins per say .....made some big thick beautiful filets and cut up into a big ole bowl of nuggets , no one had any complaints ...

the looks on their face made it very clear that they were happy to consume them , apparently the lady cooking them ,bakes them outside on the grill in a big foil pan with a bunch of different spices and butter and lemon and according to the crew she had carrying the ice chest ....
    just WOW tasty ...

If you ask me 2-3 years ago I would be sad, nowadays not so much. No I still don’t eat bass and haven’t touch crappie for the last 2 years but would gladly give some to friends and family if they want to.

I pretty much like to eat fish, period. Some are better than others but there are not many exceptions to what I will eat. Especially if I caught it.
