Rojo, I’ve used what slab showed and I’m very happy with all of it. The stuff I use is 4.2 lb test and up and I find it plenty tough.
This is what I have the most of and I throw a lot of jigs under 1/32.
Alphahawk & Skeetbum, thank you both for your input. That is the information I was looking for. I have some line for testing. I just came in from the shop, I cleaned & polished the spools on two of my best reels in this size Browning Midas Medallion size 10 reels. I backed the two spools with 8# Mr. Crappie and will spool them up tomorrow after my regular stuff. One rod is better for shooting than casting. I also have a new Quantum 5 reel that I will put on a Teton Trout rod for casting Micros, I have a spool of small test for that. Biggest problem I have with all of these super lines is because I work with my hands the lines grab & snag on the rough skin. Makes tying a pain. Hey what knots are y'all using?

Rojo...for knots... I use a palomar for terminal tackle, and a easy alberto for leaders.
Both knots are easy to tie, with minimal practice. I too, would like to try some Varivas braid, at the mo'. I am using Daiwa J- braid.
I do like the J- braid.
I’ll be following gif your results. I use 4# yellow mono for crappie casting. I have 10# Amazon braid on slip bobber rigs. Makes it easy to straighten a gold minnow hook. Someday I will try a thin braid for tossing a 1/16th jig.

I use a 3 turn surgeons knot for leaders. It is just easy for me to tie with old arthritic hands. I have never had any issues with it.

Rojo thanked you for this post
So I really like the diameter for tying a Palomar, my painting is usually aggressive so small opening in the jighead eyes is the result. Certainly was able to pass the Area Super Trout INFINITY PE X8 in 5.6# thru and back for the Palomar with no problems what so ever. I may be over thinking it a bit but seems when I really scratch the eyes up cleaning the powder paint out before baking I end up with a very rough surface to be tying very small lines to. As for the Alberto knot I never tied it so tonight while consuming some very chilled Country Wine and watching YouTube to learn it. Thanks for all the replies.
