BGJP all the way. The best rods

    You detect the lightest bites.

I have both and I am able to see more bites on the BGJP's.

I was using 2-16' BGJP, 2-14' BGJP, and 2-14' Crappie Thunder Jig/Trolling rods (from Academy) this past spring, and I noticed that the BGJP's had a little more movement at the tip between water movement due to wind and roadrunner or spin fin jig heads than the Crappie Thunders. Detection was the same, although the Crappie Thunders had a little more backbone for fighting. If the bite was light, the BGJP's allowed for a more forgiving hook set and more bend to allow for easier retrieval when putting out only 8' of line.

I like the BGJP for my everyday fishing with 1/2oz. weights. If you are going to use weights above 3/4-1oz. I would recommend something heavier/stiffer.
