Default Another fun day in Socal 6/23

Not quite as epic as the last trip but still a great day on the water. Only had about 3.5 hours to fish and spent most the time fishing for bass, but I did have some time for the UL as well. Very windy at first as well so I had to go from a .8gr to 1.5gr jighead which I think makes the action a fair bit worse. Total UL haul:

4 crappie, no monsters, all about the same as the one in the picture. 1.5lb max I'd guess
2 great quality bass, one 3.5lb or so out on the lake around crazy structure, miracle I landed him
10 or so bluegill including the really pretty one in the picture and a pretty nice size coppernose I didn't think to take a picture of
+8ish bass while bass fishing. My buddy and I were struggling but lucked into a spot loaded with quality fish for about 45 minutes at the end.

First crappie of the day, typical chunk bugle mouth for this lake. Rod/reel/lure for scale.

This is about as small as they come in this lake, but it was a pretty one. Should have snapped a pic of the big ugly coppernose I caught but the bluegill were pestering me at the end of the day at the dock when I was just trying to get my jig back into the crappie zone so I was tossing them back quickly to get back down quickly

Looking forward to getting out there again ASAP as my buddy and I feel like we got something figured out on the bass on the lake and we're confident we have the dock to fall back on now as well. Not much time left until the weather there is scorching.

Those are some nice fish that I’d be happy with. Due to circumstances etc……….. I didn’t fish this past weekend. Full moon and all. Glad y’all figgered em out and got some in front of the camera. Always a good day that ends like that.

6/26 definitely wasn't worth it's own post. On the lake fishing bass from about 330-7 and had a solid day. On the dock fishing bass from 7-745 for 0 bites. Rigged up the UL and dropped down 4 times before we had to leave as the last folks off the lake. 4 drops, 4 fish. 2lb bass, 2.5lb bass, little half pound crappie, 1.5lb chunk crappie. Hard to have a better 5 minutes of UL fishing than that!
