    Default Old school filet guy

I love a razor sharp flexible blade standard filet knife
As most of you know I rarely clean fish
one good batch will last us about 3 to 4 months or longer
and it isn't like I can't go find some more right quickly to replace the ones that got et .....
but in a few cases I whacka few for us and or friends ....
in this case the fella that invites me to hammer on his lake and his wife are going to get a fresh fish out of his lake dinner served up to em tomorrow .....
told me he needs to eat more fish out of his lake and wants to eat them baked and just doesn't have the time to go ketch them ,clean them and cook them ....
we are going to make a feast I tell ya and bake the entire meal ....
told me the bass are biting well out there and I told him this about that ...
we are eating crappie sir , they taste way better than bass ....
AND they are biting REALLY well too ,even if the local reports off his place indicate the spawn is over and the crappie are gone ....
    stay tuned ....
    KABOOM is near

can't get my mind around the electric version , just not me , been a knife guy since I was a wee one ....
takes me 2 minutes a fish instead of 20 seconds , and for sure don't like cutting bones out later either , but then again as you well know , I don't clean many for our house anyway

there is an amazing baked crappie parmesean recipe on site that all those who say they don't like fried crappie, they are always suspect, will love. It's easy and very good. I am a electric guy who can knock out a limit or two quickly as most of my folks just want the filets. But I do have regulars who will respond to a call to come pick up a bucket of FRESH ones and do the deed themselves.

I do the same thing for catfish when my guys call who ketch them but don't want to clean or eat them.

2 minutes don't sound like much time until you're cleaning 30 or more then it adds up FAST. I can remove the rib cage with the electric but not as fast or as good as some I've seen (in the blink of an eye) but most the ribbing gets done by the person on the other side of the table not me and they can fetch my beer in the process.
