We fished today. The water is so salty shrimp are all the way up river getting hammered by the bass. We are fast running out of any fresh water to fish. Somebody do a Rain Dance Please.

    Default Another Capture!

I'm looking for the morning where the trap is empty. This is in the center of our fenced backyard. Nobody around here wants these to eat. When I first moved he 33 years ago everyone seems to hunt Coons. Now that generation is all gone.

I seem to remember Roasted Coon & Sweet Potatoes was the preferred method of cooking. After that the ole BBQ was king.

Please, don't hold your breath. Not happening here. Lots I will eat but I have been gentrified. No more critter fritters cooked here.

If you don't cut all the kernels out you won't want to open your oven back up. I walked into one of the very country buds trailer and ask what the smell was, he excitedly said a Raccoon was in the oven. That was a huge turn off for me for sure.

I should add same said Bud used to ride the blacktops after a full moon looking for road kill. I ask how he tested to see if they were fresh. He replied; "I stick them with my pocket knife and if they are not gassed up TO BAD I bring them home". We are still friends but you don't eat anything from his hands!
