I don’t know what your point is. There is a whole bunch of us on here that caught thousands of crappie single pole fishing before either were invented. My partner and I won one of the big Crappie Masters tournaments single pole fishing against all the spider riggers and trollers before either were invented. I spent probably over a thousand hours on the water with the PS22, like I said it’s a fantastic transducer. But you can be the Jedi master of the PS22 and still aren’t going to catch a whiff of cashing a check without a LS in a tournament on most lakes these days. Anyone who says differently has absolutely no clue what they are talking about.

Thanks guys I think I get it. If you need to catch 7 really big fish a day go with the LVS32 and if you just want to easily find and catch some crappie the PS22 is a really good tool. I think I'll take that 1000$ and buy some Garmin stock...... GRMN....it's up a dollar today

Yes My Friend, I totally agree with you and was trying to make the same point. Sidescan Sonar & 2D Sonar has put more fish in my cooler than my PS22. As you wrote about, single poling it is the only way I fish anymore. Speaking for myself, just out for a relaxing day of fishing in areas I know well I only use my GPS (so I don't pass a spot) and 2D Sonar with "Jigging Mode or Ice Fishing Mode" turned on. The PS22 Stick is left in my Expedition.
