Finally bought me a piece of 1 inch pvc and a thicker one two go on the outside of it, I think it’s a 1 1/4, put it together and did not like that setup to flimsy, so I went to ace hardware looked there and found a 3/4 inch aluminum pole 8 ft long and the piece of 1 1/4 pvc fit like a glove and rigid, where I fish here in Georgia is open water so no worries there, looks like this is the pole for me very rigid and that’s what I was looking for.

Thill what battery did you finally come up with, I used to live there in Virginia, in April I retired and lived in Amelia Va, then moved to Georgia, weather is a lot better here, especially for fishing. Oh and none of that white stuff that falls from the sky, is not here. SNOW I hate that stuff, too much work, if you have to leave every morning to go to work before 5am and uphill on your driveway. But still miss Virginia in some ways.

Congrats on the retirement and the move to GA! I hope you are really enjoying it. My buddy just moved near Myrtle beach on the NC side and he loves it and has me thinking about it. It's 19 degrees here and 41 there. He says they average 2" of snow per winter, but it rarely sticks.

I'm happy with the setup. They are small and light. I ran livescope for 3 hours and 2 minutes today. Voltage started out at 25.6 volts. I fell asleep, and just went out to recharge. After sitting in 19 degree temps, they just tested at 24.6 volts. Not bad, for being that cold.
It may be my imagination, but the livescope seemed more sensitive and accurate in the 24V configuration. I could see everything, including a 1/16 ounce hair jig. I'm thrilled. Here are some images:
Those were schools of crappie. I was able to cast to them and watch my jig drop and caught maybe 10 or 12 of them. Not big, mostly around 9", but getting time under my belt was good.

I picked up my nephews at the ramp after school and went back out. Due to time, we just fished the bridge. What was cool is we could see exactly which pilings had fish on them and how deep to fish. They were thrilled to watch their jigs go down, and they both caught a number of fish. They absolutely loved it.
As everyone says, Livescope really is a game changer.
Oh, and I ran the livescope under engine power, at fast idle, and the mount was solid, and I got good images even at that speed. That's how I knew to fish the bridge with the kids. I scanned it as I went by and saw the fish 50' away as I went under the bridge.

Now that is a VERY curious question!
Wait... I know the answer. The Livescope has its own batteries. The 93SV is on the starting battery. Even so, what's up with 11.9V? I know it's a hot battery and should be reading 12.8V or somewhere around there.
I need to check the electrical connections for tightness and corrosion. Thanks for noticing. I appreciate the heads-up.

Well, I went out to check voltage, and the battery was at 12.0V.
So either my battery is dying or my charging system is having issues. I put a charger on the battery. If it charges properly and holds charge, will need to bring an extra battery and check voltage while the engine is running.
