I use Sally Hanson to stick things on and like eyes, or a thread neck body, I will use the UV glue, thick formula by Solerez. Set it with the black light and when I'm done tying, hang the jigs on a rack outside for a bit. You'll loose it before it comes apart...

I was having the tip get plugged with Gorilla gel but when I switched to Locktite, it was so much easier to squeeze out a drop and not get too much that it would get stuck on my fingers.
I haven't experienced the tip being plugged on Locktite yet. I hope it doesn't. I'll watch out about that.

I use a product called For Rhinestones Only. It's intended for nail art and sold at Sally Beauty Supply. I transfer it to a squeeze bottle with a needle tip. Very easy to work with and dries in about a minute. I put a dab in the socket, apply the eye and then overcoat. While it's wet it attacks the paint and makes it gooey, which sets the eye into the paint. Once it dries the paint rehardens and the eyes stay on practically forever. It also doesn't change the color of chartreuse paint like Sally Hansen and it doesn't go hazy like super glue can.

I've tried Gorilla instant glues...for those, the glue begins to dry in the tip. That makes it hard to squeeze out any glue. Other than that, the glue seems to hold the eyes on powder coat paint.

When I tried the Locktite instant glue, I was surprised at how easy it was to put a pinpoint drop onto the dimple on the head. This made the problem of having too much glue go away with a good control of how much glue and how much easier to get the glue dispensed. With Gorilla, and it being hard to get squeezed out, it invariably got onto my fingers. That makes a mess...so Locktite has now become my "go to" glue for eyes.
Anybody else have suggestions of favorites?
