    I know it might not be considered ultralight by some but the BnM bucks combo has landed me many crappie including my PB 17" black crappie.

    Thanks for the replies everyone. Lots of suggestions. I'll check them all out and let you know what I decide to go with. I do have a $25 Bass Pro Shops gift card so I think I'll drive over and see what they have.

    Recently purchased a Shakespeare Agility 7' UL on sale at FishUSA for about$26. Seems like a nice rod for the money. Good luck.
