    Default No fish....fishing report.

Well while the day was beautiful.......no wind at all....I caught nothing. I only had one reasonably close body of water to fish today....Nickajack Lake. The ramps I use at Center Hill are closed...below the dam at Nickajack it looked like an ocean with all the water being released. Up in the lake...chocolate milk and debris. I don't mind the muddy water but water temps were 58 degrees when I put in. I knew that was not going to be good...and it wasn't. A total of 3 very small bluegill. Did not see another boat up there the 3 hours I was on the lake. There is good news in all of this. I have not missed the spawn.....when they slow the spill gates down below the dam it will be hundred fish days. So I just need to be patient....and I hope my Daiwa Presso Limited AGS XUL rod gets here soon.

At least you are getting out there and trying.

Was planning to go last week but the Sheriff deputies were running everyone off in my area. And the trout opener for the east slope has been postponed until May 30th.

you know sometimes it just goes that way , no worries next trip out will be better .
I saw about a dozen sunning up on top the other day here in a boat slip in about 15 foot of water .
if I had time I would have wore them out ,but I was leaving and not chasing bream anyway .
when the water warms just a bit more I bet you really hurt them .

30 outside right now and I’m sure my close by Creek is going to be cold. I think I’m looking at a bust but I have some bank spots I can try. We had some very heavy rains a couple of days ago but cloudy dropping water in the backwaters might do the trick. It will be nice to get out for a few hours.

Patience is a little tougher right now for most of us. I am looking forward to some float fishing videos from you, maybe a two camera setup to show the bite and structure you are fishing. Stay safe.

Cold and muddy water is about as bad as it gets! It was a beautiful day. No boat here, so I'm hoping MS will re-open the state lakes where I like to do my panfishing soon.

I know what you mean. Just got back from checking the redear bed I fished last Thursday and no one was home. I went looking for a few bluegill beds that I know of and only caught one small female. On top of all of that, I snapped off the last two inches of my Yamaga Blanks TZ Nano 71 while trying to get it out of its sheath. I don’t like the design of YB rod sheaths. The closed flat on the top make it too hard to get out. I’m seriously bummed. Almost felt like turning around and going back home. Probably should have.
