Has the water level came down yet or do you still need hip boots to launch

Big Roy, the good news is that the water level is actually below full this morning (329.90), for the first time in quite awhile. (So of course a half inch is predicted today!)

MidHillBilly, I haven't met a fisherman yet who didn't have accidents of every kind happen while doing what we love. Just a week ago I watched a man push his boat off the trailer to launch it, and he injured his achilles/calf doing that. I pray nothing tore but he was in a lot of pain, and I guarantee he didn't see that coming when he headed for the lake!

You all are so right. If I let every time I have had a bad day bother me I would sell all my gear and take up crocheting and stay on the couch. I am going to give it a try wed just got to figure out where.

Thanks. I was just glad (and lucky) no one was at the ramp to see me floundering. I actually had my pants leg catch on the trolling motor and I'm laying there on the trailer, half wet, with my leg stuck in the air. Took me a bit just to get my pants free of the trolling motor. :o Just minutes after I finally managed to get myself on the boat, here comes some people I know who would have never let me lived that down and told everyone they know. Probably would have videoed it. I may have been a Youtube star. I really need to come up with an easier way of getting my boat off the trailer when I am by myself. With a trolling motor and a depth finder up front plus usually a rod or two or four to avoid it is tough as I get older and less nimble. I don't even want to talk about some of the other stupid stuff I did on that trip, but I was on quite a roll.
