    I did the same thing converting a wireless trolling motor to be a remote directed transducer pole. Old trolling motor given to me and the upgraded electrical power source was $12. That was the total cost.

    Yeah, I want to share the way to mount a transducer on a boat by going through the hull. This process begins with the drilling of the hole for mounting the device. There is one small tip you have to consider: it would also help to drill counterclockwise first to avoid chipping the gel coat. Once the hole is deep enough, you can proceed to drill clockwise or forward. Apply marine sealant to the transducer gasket’s surface. Insert the transducer cables through the port before securing the device’s housing in the hole. Finally, connect the cable to the control console.
