    Default Powder paint learning curve


    Well i decided id learn to powder paint.
    All was ok till i melted a blob of led straight down into the mouth of my heat gun.
    Poof!
    It was done.

    Saving money sure costs a lot.

    2 inches above and a count of 8 while rotating back and forth. Try that and see how it takes paint. Can always add a count or 2.

    If you dip jig in powder and it’s not shiny just lightly reheat till shines. I heat with heat gun 5 seconds, flip to other side 5 seconds and dip in powder on 1/8 jigs, 3 seconds for 1/16

    An alcohol burner works pretty well, and it is silent.

    An alcohol burner is all I ever use. 1 1/2 to 2 seconds on 1/16, 1 second on 1/32 and under - rotate head

    Had an old oil lamp which is working so far.
