What is ya'lls preference? Do you pull the cork fast, slow or barely move it? I've seen folks do long pulls then Ive seen them to slow. I've also seen people move the cork so much the jig hardly ever stops moving. For me, I do long pulls but I saw a guy pulling slow getting more bites than me. What do you guys think?
I like tight lining a jig, but I will use a cork from time to time, especially in clear water where I need to make casts to get away from the boat. I've popped it fast and I've worked it slow; and even just a steady reel. With sacs, it's all in what they want that day. You can pop it fast one day and catch all your fish, then do it the next day and they want side to side action. Personally, I find I get most of my bites when the jig is on the fall, so I try to let the jig finish falling before I twitch it again. Active feeding fish don't seem to care most of the time. Hope this helps.
The Barometer could make for the most difference --- when the fish are sluggish and Inactive -- Slow
Crappie magnets has a real good video on youtube on useing a cork or float.Might give a try.

I’m with jfsiski on getting majority of my bites on the fall. Knowing that I have a few soft plastic that will fall a little bit slower and I generally have a longer pull but not at quick pace. I fish pretty slow most of the time unless they are being aggressive and I’ve found good bite.
I really like a bait called Matrix Mini and it’s a narrower body that falls quickly so when I’m fishing that particular body under a cork it’s more of a couple twitches than “popping” or pulling my cork. If you know someone with a swimming pool see if you can’t spend 5 minutes watching your presentation.
Larry it all depends what the cows are doing. lol

I like to fish a 1/32 oz jig with a quill. Slowly pull it, with your rod tip down, until the quill is flat on the water, then stop. When the quill returns to upright (jig slowly drops) the fish will bite.
