51 bridge is open. Don't know about motel security.

There's a Days Inn right there on Commerce Street, just east of I-55 the police patrol the area a good bit. They have the old style exterior door rooms, as far as secure I never leave my electronics or poles in my boat no matter where I stay and always make sure my boat is backed up to a curb, wall or some sort of structure with a good lock on the tongue. Sad to say, but there are no secure places left now a days. Some folks will steal just for the thrill of it and toss it in the trash later if of no value to them.

Got a text from Jimmy (canebreaker) last night, he says you could get a room in Southaven and you could park your boat at his house under a light for security, even have a power cord to charge your batteries. He says he don't sleep and hears everything so it sounds pretty secure to me. If your interested PM me and I will give you his cell number. He is right off the church road and I-55 exit, two minutes from the hotels on Goodman road.

Probably okay in Hernando, but you never know. I’m less than 2 miles from 55 in Hernando. You’re welcome to park at my place if you want.

Thanks, Carl. I really appreciate it. I used to just make day trips out of it, but at 72, 6 hrs of driving and fishing all day don't work any more.

Bridge is open and you can stay at my place in Sardis. I MIGHT grab your tackle, but at least you’ll know where to find it.
