    Default Santee updates?

Anybody have an update on Santee? Slept past time to make it to Wylie this morning, thinking about heading down to santee. Haven't fished it since last year.

Headed down tomorrow for a week at Stumphole. My buddy's already there. Picking up mix of bream and Shellcrackers using redworms. Been slow but steady .He found a bream bed yesterday but there were 8-10 boats fishing it.
Inkdabber has been catching limits of crappie but he is fishing further down the lake around lily pads and brush piles, if I remember correctly.

I will be putting in at jacks Creek, on the way there now. Gonna try to find some shellcrackers and crappies.

Let me know how you do. If all the rain we had earlier this week brings in a lot of mud, I will be in Jacks Creek myself. It usually is the last to get muddy.

I fished both Friday and Saturday in the high, dirty water. The crappie fishing was fantastic! Most fish on Friday were caught in waters 7 foot or less off of trees and vegetation. Over 100 were caught. On Saturday, both shallow and deep water was fished with around 60 more caught.

Thanks Tim. You use any minnows or just jigs?

Jigs only Ray. On Friday I pulled into a little creek down the lake I’ve never really fished before. What a game changer it turned out to be. It had three little grass mats that were loaded with untouched fish. You can always tell when the Shellcrackers are biting. Of all the boats we seen yesterday, (and we seen hundreds) all were either pleasure boaters, or Shellcracker fishing.

Found a shellcracker bed about 20 minutes into looking for them, caught 72 before I ran out of worms. Lost complete focus on the crappie Santee updates? but was a good day overall. Posted a video on my YouTube channel. Gonna go focus on the crappie this week and next weekend.

This weekend was difinitely peak for shell crackers, I haven’t heard anyone say they didn’t catch’em. Congrats on the fine haul.
