Well folks Spring Fling Wylie 2018 is in the book. Had the best weather anyone could ask for to fish in. A great turnout was there at 7:00 to splash for a day of fun and fellowship. Had 18 teams sign in for the blast off. Everyone headed to the spot of choice to begin the battle with King Crappo. A special Thanks to CK for getting the map handouts made. Lot of first timers with us today. They were pleased to have a little bit of direction to head off in. Thanks to all those that came out. A special Thanks to The Dawgg ,Mama Dawgg , Scooperdude ,Turkeyfoot . and Chef Ck aka (CrappieKidd) for all you did with this event. Mr brettw himself even pitched in to help out. Thanks Brett. But Thanks to those that came out. Without you folks it wouldn't happen. Everyone caught fish. As normal some more than others. Wylie was as full as I have seen it in many moons. Not bad muddy for most part but lots of trash on the water. I will let the others tell their story. My crew went to back of Big Allison. Started longlining jigs and crankbaits and jig head with a minnow only. Before I got 5 rods out we had 3 fish in the boat. My new fishing buddy was all over them crappie. He was having a blast till bout 10:30 when the late night before started to kick in. Nap time. But the damage was done. He helped put 15 crappie and maybe 20 perch on board before lights out. And by the way... His biggest 5 crappie was top dog for the day. Congratulations SLIMEY ! Have more pics and results soon. Nap time for us old folks now !
