She’s dropping subtle hints like” How much would a fully tricked out 22 ft War Eagle cost”

    and

    “ We should open a B & B”
    Boat and breakfast???

That looks like you because it COULD be you!! Sounds to me like the wife just wants you to go get what you need to put groceries on the table! We are programmed to be providers so we must frequent the local reservoirs often to fulfill these desires. Catching fish=feeling like a MAN (insert Tim "the tool man" Taylor noises)

    ....or atleast that's my excuse....

Brett....the easiest thing you can say is, "Yes Dear!" to most anything she says.

Ok I will bite on this one. What she is really saying is thank you for spending time out of the house.

OK,I posed your question to my wife (of 51 years) .
She said, quote, " Duh, it means you are not spending enough time with me! " . So, now you know, maybe.....

Well if that is the case it puts a positive spin on the relationship. Who wants to spend time with someone they dislike.

I would be careful however to not assume that spending more time with her is the right solution. Encouraging her to find things she wants to do on her own, which means not having your annoying self around all the time, is a better solution. It would even help if she felt a bit guilty for enjoying herself when you are not there.
