    Hey Bob
I have the big bucket mold that I've been working with. The cup of hot plastic is on the hot plate next to it! (Upper Right side in the pic)
To fill each worm is between 3 to maybe 7 seconds and the plastic is frozen in the injector before I can move 1/4" to the next cavity
It takes me longer to fill the small open pour molds...Prolly 10 to 12 seconds...I NEVER TIMED IT But I will now!
Next time I try them out I'll try to get a video

get yourself a regular injector the type that we use on our aluminum molds throw last thing that you have in the garbage it could be that you are using a stainless steel most of the injectors are aluminum which they get hot very fast and stay hot too bad you didn't live closer I would definitely help you with your problem I realized that you use a small injector for fine detailed work but if it's not working for you you need to upgrade to a regular injector .

    OK
Went out on a limb and put about 2" of cooking oil in a Enchilada sauce can, put it on the hotplate, and tossed the injectors in it to preheat
While they were preheating I oiled up the molds since some of the cavities were freshly ground on and resealed
When the oil hit 200* on my crappy thermometer, Cranked up the "Wave" (Sidenote...I'm done with this brand of plastic) It went into the wave
bright yellow and came out the colors you see in the pix It's been doing that since I started here and it was still fairly Thick...Anyways
SHOT ALL 15 CAVITIES using the same injector...Till the cup was empty enough I was sucking some air so some of the worms got Funky cuz of air
(MY FAULT) I just wanted to see how long it would stay warm enough to shoot (The plastic is such a horrible color anyway)
A couple of things I'll do different next time 1) wipe the oil off the outside of the injector 2) Have enough plastic to shoot ALL cavities with some left over
ALL IN ALL I'M PRETTY TICKLED PINK

I even had enough time to tip the cup and shoot details on an open mold

Injector came out clean with minimal plastic left in it!

Bob an Dr Nip do have a Good point on investing in a Quality Injector,

for pushing the envelope on the tin wall injectors may have it's consequences.

I use mine for light and tweaking in belly fill,
I don't use these injectors on an everyday heavy use.

Not to throw a wrench in your success as no guarantee on the tin wall injectors either.

I would focus a little more caution if used daily

With the Bold captions does not mean any offense to how we create our bait.

    I personally stress safety first

would feel awful should some mishap take place do to my suggestion.
