    Default Preheat Injectors?

Billy turned me on to some 2 oz. injectors
Shot them a few times and they seem to freeze up the plastic really quickly
I'm pulling in a full tube and shooting back into my cup before I try to shoot them...But I can only get one Chernobyl worm shot and it's hard in the tip
Do I dare keep a cup of hot cooking oil to preheat them?
Maybe pull the plungers and put the tubes in the oven?

    I'll get some pix

If you were having problems with plastic sticking inside of the injector take a little bit of Pam spray inside of the tube and run your ride back and forth it should free it up .

    Here's some pix Bob
It's not sticking the plastic is cooling off too fast!
I'm sticking the whole snout into the hot plastic when pumping it and leaving hot plastic on them to help insulate them but this is what I'm getting

I'm wondering if maybe I should vise the "Screw on tip" and drill it out... To allow the plastic to flow faster

    Before you start to drill;

    from using a pour,
injectors are another tool getting used to.

try heating the injectors, for I use an electric fry pan for my molds and injectors when the room temp is down,
also have you ck'd your plastic temp
might try raising it a bit.

    Hope this helps

    Yesterday was interesting
I need a different thermometer it was reading 350 and the plastic was cold! I mean clumpy cold!
Now since these are stainless steel I'm thinking there is just too much cold mass so they need to get warmed up
Billy said oven or hot plate... But they will lose temp and I'll prolly get burned while screwing them back together
Since injectors are air tight would I be better off using a cup of warm coconut or veggie oil maybe scented with Garlic or Anise to preheat the injectors
My reason for this train of thought is this Because the injectors are air tight they would keep the oil outside of the tube and if any did get in it would
Just lube it and give the baits a little smell PLUS I wouldn''t be trying to put a HOT injector together in a hurry!

    Hoodlum

for one you are correct on them being tin wall getting pretty hot to the touch, that is why I always wear gloves and eye protection.

I lube the inner barrel with worm oil assemble it, then let it rest in the electric fry pan along side my molds
    (uncertain why you disassemble yours)

    This is my procedure:
after I heat my plastic, remove and line up my molds, take my injector making sure the piston works smoothly, proceed to place just the injector tip in the plastic from there inject the molds

    Hope This Helps

    Hey Billy
I don't want to overheat the O-Ring on them.... they are just Marinade injectors
Or can I get a high temp O-Ring?

Yes you can get high temp O rings. I have a question when you were getting ready to shoot with that injector how fast are you going what I mean is does it take you quite a while to feel those little cavities up remember the plastic cools off very fast .

On open cavities I would use a small Pyrex cup on open face stuff .
