I think it depends on use and care of your batteries. The deeper you discharge them and the longer they stay discharged will greatly affect battery life. Catfan my come along and better explain that as he was an engineer for a battery company. I run the Trojan 1275's on my boat for the past three years and I'd buy another set tomorrow. I've never ran them down no matter how I'm fishing. Take a look at the reserve capacity on the 1275's and know that Trojan doesn't cook their numbers on the R/C. Another factor on lead batteries is the weight as the more lead and acid it contains, the longer it will last. The Trojans are over 90 lbs each. Just my two cents. Lol
