I've been wanting to fish there. It's only about 45 minutes from me. What do you suggest about the lake?

The grass has gotten really bad and the pressure it gets is unreal for the size of the lake. I guess the reason for the pressure is that it is so close to a big city like Lafayette. It does hold some fish and can be good at times, but I’ve been skunked there too. It’s a very shallow lake, so water temp is already in the 70’s. I honestly only fish it when I can’t make it to my camp on saline/Larto or when the basin is rising like it has been. It’s probably better for bass than anything. Not sure what info your looking for, but I can tell you that I caught my fish on jigs on the trees very tight to cover. Fishing 18” deep in 2-4fow.
