Thread: Best jigs?

Are we talking "jigs" as :

jig heads
custom tied feather/hair jigs
jig bodies

??????????


If it's jig heads ... I prefer custom made, so I can have the size/style/color hook I want in the weight/style of head I want. I have mine custom made by the member known as Grousefly.

If it's jig bodies ... I like Slab-a-nators jig bodies ... http://www.crappie.com/crappie/-memb...-crappie-jigs/ Soft but tough, come in a multitude of colors, and custom color combos can be made to order.

If it's the hair/feather jigs ... I don't fish with them enough to have a recommendation. But, if it's the "Jiffy Jig" brand style ... Bob's Jelly Jigs (Snake River) or the Chet Fly (Grousefly) are knock-offs that perform just as well, and can be ordered in custom colors.

There is nothing quite like catching fish on something you made yourself!
