It works Brett, but it is somewhat lake dependent. Can't speak on Wylie necessarily, but all lakes have their techniques at certain times of the year. Greenwood is a trolling lake, Murray is hit or miss for trolling, wateree sets up better for tightlining in the late fall and winter months, and Clark's hill is the just the best of everything lol.
Fall is the time of year when fish are scattered and chasing bait so trolling is great option to catch them. I think it really depends on how deep the fish are and if you can reach them trolling. For me, if I've got to run speeds .5 or less I'd just assume tightline, but others are hardcore trollers and they catch them too.
