It works great- you have to have the depth right and the right colors they want. This time of year go with a darker color. Black & grey is good in any water. I hope this helps.

It works Brett, but it is somewhat lake dependent. Can't speak on Wylie necessarily, but all lakes have their techniques at certain times of the year. Greenwood is a trolling lake, Murray is hit or miss for trolling, wateree sets up better for tightlining in the late fall and winter months, and Clark's hill is the just the best of everything lol.
Fall is the time of year when fish are scattered and chasing bait so trolling is great option to catch them. I think it really depends on how deep the fish are and if you can reach them trolling. For me, if I've got to run speeds .5 or less I'd just assume tightline, but others are hardcore trollers and they catch them too.
You can find them and catch them! Just go do it and post all the pics for us to see!!!

Listen to what CB said and try it
Find a skinny water flat with schools of bait fish present and all kinds of fish are feasting!
Here's a few pics of Greenwood LL catches recently.
Cover lots of "productive" water with lots of jigs at depth of fish=

Brett, I think it was gabowman that said it one time! If your not catching then it's time to move and fish where fish are. Scout before wasting time ! Wylie is a tuff lake to longline on all year. Tight lining or casting to brush is probably the best right now. :dono
Good luck let us know if you hit the jack pot!:biggrin
