Prayers for your wife and family. My wife suffered a ruptured aneurism om August 10 and is finally due to come home on November10. She was basically in a coma for 3 weeks and did not really start to recover until she had a shunt put in on September 21. Been at Brooks Rehab for 3 weeks tomorrow and has gone from bedridden with movement in fingers and toes to working on walking now. If you have a Brooks rehab in your area do anything in your power to get her there for rehab. Keep praying and trust in the Lord to take care of her. You have a long slow process and no 2 brains heal the same so do not worry about your neighbor in next room doing much better faster. As long as she moves forward at any pace or holds for a few days keep faith. I feel your painand understand your concerns very well. Will be praying for you and your wife. And dont let your insurance bully you into sending her somewhere your not comfortable with her going. Make sure and visit any and all of the places that will be the next step in your journey. Trust your gut if it says something is not right with the place.

Takeum... I am a stroke survivor. At 46 years I had a stroke that knocked me to the ground. I lost movement in the right arm, right leg, and very poor speech. I still have small remnants but mostly without restrictions. My speech recovered nicely and have total movement. The only change is that my handwriting is not as easy or readable as it was once. Small potatoes there. Please be aware that recovery can take place. I'm proof. Hang in there, luck be with you, and wishing the best for her and you.
