They should work quite well with the rubber tails.
I have been using rubber tails for some time now and they are deadly as a finesse tool both during the soft and hard water season.

I didn’t have any orders to fill tonight so I decided to make a few more colors. 1/32 and 1/24 #6 hooks...

Okay guys I spoke about the little jigs I have that have the short tails of an elastic type material? Well I found my pictures of them and will post them on here. I had to find them for another post so decided to also put them here so you guys can see what I mean. These jigs were made by Blue Fox years ago and have not made them in a long time now. I still have a bunch and will sure give them a workout come spring! These are 1/32 and 1/16 with both shown here. You can see how small they are with the 1/16 Oz jig head with #4 Sickle in picture to show size.

Many years ago on the Hula Popper I have seen that material also on some of the other crank baits many years ago no I do not know what it is I believe on some of my old stuff there may be some of that crinkly stuff on some of the old crank baits I do have no I am not good to chop up my crank baits to make some jigs.

I like how the people on this forum think out of the box. I remember making imitation tube type baits by threading rubber strands through a jelly body.
