One more thing. When I add weight to a double rig I place the split shot between the two jigs. I asked Jody Stephens that question and that is the way he does it. I'm going to do what he does.

Hotwater. do you use mono line? i use 10# mono. I just bought some 30# braid 8# mono equivalent that I tried on one reel yesterday.

Ok I see know . Wasn't thinking about a tag jig was only thinking about fishing two different depths. Thanks for info haven't done any longline trOlli just spidders rigging. But I am planning on giving it a shot

Just like hotwater, I always put the lighter jig on bottom. And always put the lead in the middle if I plan on fishing deeper.
If single jig, lead is 15 inches(+/-) above the jig.... if using lead.

I use crappie max 6 lb mono.

Curtis for those who don't know it. those lightwire hooks are the best one's out there by far. rctsr or as Rusty Parker calls me rock star....

I use lite wire hooks but they will still break 10# test or the hook will break. Still is less tying than regular hooks.
