Marvin I have had that on there for a while. Champion had to be different as there seat mounts have a 2 by 2 block instead of a pin that fits in a slot. Unless it is original champion everything has to be modified. It is really a pain. I have a 8 ft patio umbrella That I mount in another holder for shade. Love the old boat and it is rigged just like I want it.

Ronnie, we ate at Yoders on way home. I tried to stay awake to keep Don company but I dozed off a few times. By the way we were pulling jigs, but I put on a Crappie Crankbait hoping to pick up a decent spotted bass. Didn't get a hit, but the biggest bass we caught hit one of the 1/32 black, silver white jigs you tied for me. Go figure???

Ray I have never had any luck there pulling cranks for Crappie but would have thought those spots would have killed the cranks. They do on Russell.

Great report. Glad to see another fisherman who can appreciate those great-eating spots. I personally don't care for the taste of largemouths, but I'd put the flavor of a spot fillet up against just about any freshwater fish. Looking forward to catching some on Russell in the weeks ahead!
