Default Scenic trip to Secession with Sinkermaker

Don and I arrived at the ramp just about daylight and we tightlined jigs down the lake and back past the bridge. We got two right at the start and figured we were in for some action. Name: IMG_1146.jpg

However, things slowed wayyyy down. We ended up with a decent mess for a meal, which Don graciously gave to me. After getting up at 4 AM and getting back home at 4:30 PM, I was 2nd guessing keeping them. But they are all cleaned and in the fridge, so all is good.

This was my first trip in quite a while and the weather was considerably cooler than the past few weeks. A welcome change and probably will motivate me to start back pestering the fish.
Don, as always, is a gracious host and his boat is a fishing machine Thanks for letting me tag along.
(I left 3 whole for a buddy that likes them that way. I normally fillet everything)

Glad y'all had a successful trip on a great day. Don is a great guy and a great host for us guys lucky enough to spend a day on the water with him.
With the cooler temps coming up in a day or so Don may need to hunt up his long pants and socks !!!
Thanks for the report and pics.

I put on my rain jacket and kept it on until we came out. Chilly wind blowing down my neck all day.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Ray I am glad we could put the trip together I always enjoy fishing with you. Thanks for not telling our secret. For those wanting to know the shots did not help any. Next step is knee replacement. Next time we will do something different like hopefully catch more fish.
