I'd personally go with a 20 ft pst on each side if I already had the 16's and 12's. The twenty footers are a lot of pole but the pulling method allows u to handle the rod with both hands. I've had plenty of girl fishers that could handle them fine. Plus handi crappie the master of cranking.

Scott, Jenko has a 8 ft fiberglass pole that will be available in sept. should be a good pulling pole !!!

I am with duckhunter, 8' west point poles are fine for cranking.

7' medium action Ugly Stik trigger rods have worked for really well for years as flatline trolling rods in the walleye world. I bought my first set 10 years ago and still keep them in my pulling arsenal for my shirt rods. Stiffer than the 8' PST, but with a moderate action so that the rod loads nicely on a strike. They're cheap and get the job done very effectively. I love my PSTs but I agree with the action of the 8 footer, great rod but can be too light with bigger fish or faster speeds on some lures.
