    Default A Good Weekend

I made it back out to Santee on both Friday with my Ol'Buddy Tommy and on Saturday solo. Both days found the fishing to be pretty good with the deep water bite all but dead, and all fish coming from waters 4 to 12 foot deep. Friday all fish caught were on jigs presented vertically on long poles. Saturday most fish were caught on minnows and slip bobbers for no other reason than I wanted to try something different to see if it mattered. No real difference, but the jigs definitely caught far more fish alot faster. The majority of fish came off brush, with a few caught in grass.

After you asked about Tommy the other day, I gave him a call. Next thing you know a fishing trip was lined up. It was a nice day spent fishing and yacking with my good friend. We don't see each other as we once did so a lot of catching up took place. It was a very enjoyable outing, and biting fish made it all the better.

Nice catch in this hot weather.
I noticed a white crappie in one of the photos, what is your ratio of catching white crappie verses black crappie on lake Marion?
    Thanks for sharing.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
