What kind of boat is it? Does it have the lock system in the rail?

I'm considering purchasing the spyder lok rod holder kit for my 14' Jon boat. However, I'm curious about a method for fastening the base plate to the aluminum without washing out the hole. If anybody has any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it.

I made a bracket to hold a piece of 1/4" plate aluminum to mount my rod holder to.Drilled and tapped holes in the plate. It is rock solid,no problems......
