    I was wondering the same thing about keeping the gar. What I'm most curious about is that 3/4" PVC pipe clamped down across the deck. What's that for?

    That's last years pic lol just to show how the homemade rod holder works, on another note I will be after the flatheads this weekend tight lining

    Man those 3 & 4 pounders were tearing up enough tackle today I would hate to catch something that size while pulling crank baits.

    Yes Slab and Randy gar are very good to eat BUT they are a PAIN in the rear to clean!!! I caught 2 of them over 3' this week but threw them both back b/c I did not want to clean them, especially at 9 O'Clock at night.
