Wow! That's crazy. I want to say that I paid $12.50 or so for 50 big mediums at Tommy's in May

''G"" is right, put a nibble on with the jig. it's does make a difference guys. I've always been a minnow man, but hey they have gotten out of control on the price! It cost like hell to go fishing now, and I'm gonna cut back on the minnows, like maybe buy half of what I use to on a trip, and use a jig every other hook....

I think the crappie should have a say in this!! Lol, it don't matter use jigs, minners, jigs & minners, cranks, plastics, one pole, ten poles, etc. I have seen the one word on this site several times that has made the biggest impact on my crappie fishing success rate.. that one word.... Confidence!! Go with what you feel you need to target those specific fish on a specific lake... imo.

Spot on, caught my fish Saturday in 5 to 8 foot of water with cranks, caught some today 22 foot deep on a crank.
